All of these terms refer to how a person is purchasing insurance – usually with the help of tax credits or cost-sharing allowances.
How Medicare and Medicaid Play a Part:
The other two avenues of healthcare coverage in Ohio are Medicare and Medicaid, two words similar enough to confuse most of us! Generally speaking, Medicare covers folks 65 and older or those with certain specified disabilities. Expanded Medicaid covers those ages 19-64 with limited income and no other insurance.
